Our trip began with a long flight from Brisbane to Dubai and then on to Bucharest.
The capital of Romania, is some 400 km from the mouth of the Danube River in the Black Sea.
From here we travelled into Bulgaria to the port of Ruse, where we boarded our cruise for our 3000 km river travel through the heart of Europe, passing through Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia, Croatia, Hungary, Slovakia, Austria, Germany and The Netherlands.
